Cumbria is beautiful, the hills and space are breath taking - But what about the economy? I'm interested in how areas and communities suffering from economic decline survive.

Festivals bring a yearly surge of economy to these landscapes, transformed into a weekend celebration of music,dance food and family what are the benefits of holding a well organised festival. Who prospers the land owner? surrounding communities? local councils? national transport? Stall Holders?
